Gimpy Gear has come about because of a life change.  I have been battling chronic pains for years without really knowing what was causing it.  A few years back I had an episode that made my hands and feet swell.  My doctor diagnosed me with gout, a medical condition usually characterized by recurrent attacks of acute inflammatory arthritis.

 

The pains caused by gout would be so severe that I would be immoblized for days, weeks, and/or even months.  It has also caused me to lose my normal abilities to walk and hold items.  I have chosen to laugh at times when these pain attacks would happen.  I refer to myself as gimpy when asked how i'm doing by friends and family. 

 

During those times of struggle, I thought of a Trex shirt that made me laugh and smile.  Trex being one of the coolest, if not the coolest, dinosaur remembered, however it had short arms.  Those arms have been thought to be an achillies heel to the seemingly dominating dinosaur.  The shirt said "Unstoppable" and had Trex using those grabbing device to extend its reach.  That shirt still brings a smile to me all the time.

 

I thought a simple shirt can make me smile.  A simple shirt can make others smile.  I want to help others smile.  My hope is to help create shirts that will make you smile.
